Description: The story of Saurav Chand Sharma is truly a testimony towards the fact that the real motive of vocational education is to make the students gain an edge in the employability sector. Saurav Chand Sharma was student of Government Senior Secondary School Kothipura District BILASPUR, hails from a humble family background. His father is engaged as driver, mother is home maker and his younger brother is in 10th Class in same school he had studied. His interest in academic was sparsh. However he was keen on learning the automobile vocational subject. He successfully completed from L1 to L4. During his learning years spread over four years, he was really fascinated to see how an automobile system works. Further, the guest lectures motivated him to being a part of the automobile industry. In one of the guest lecture at school, the speaker explained about the job prospects of service advisor in Automobile industry. The listening to the speaker who himself was a service advisor in competent Automobile co. Ltd, was the point to turn a new leaf for Saurav. His mind was set to build a carrier in the automobile sector. Consecutively, the class visited the Competent Automobile co. Ltd. Kothichowk during the industrial visit as well. During his visit, he realized that he can works in this industry. Although he was unable to clear his academic grades in class 12th, he still got an opportunity to compete the Maruti Job drive organized by IISD (VTP) at Parwanu Solan, April 2019. With guidance from his Principle, Sh. Arun Gautam and Vocational trainer Automobile Kishori Lal he cracked the section process and was selected to join work with Maruti Suzuki India Limited at Ahmadabad, Gujarat. He still continues to work at the Ahmedabad plant and draw 13,000 p.m. Out of the total amount receive he saves around 6,000 p.m. which goes into his savings.rnRemarkable factor about Saurav is his skill learning and training learned at school level actually let him to earn a good job for himself. He has been appreciated twice by the employer for his excellent service to the workspace.rn
